INVOCATION OF A SIMPLE HEART

Think globally - be informed on a global scale.
Then you can act with wisdom - on a local scale.

The weightiest of words sometimes escape our lips
in our lightest moment.

The most harmful ides are sometimes born
of our most serious moments.

The best thoughts on life come to those
who live thoughtfully.

Cast doubts on what you know
and what you will cast light on your doubts.
Thus beware of two types of persons; those who are always
in doubt, and those who are always sure.

What I think of in my mind confuses me
like the providence of God in the midst of suffering.
What I ponder over in my heart enlightens me
because the heart has reasons
the mind cannot fathom,
because the heart alone can consent to mystery
beyond all logic's mastery.

The provocation of a loving thought
begins with invocation of a simple heart.
Modern man's mind is convoluted
because his heart is by sin polluted.
Because his heart cannot see the simplicity.
he must perform act out of duplicity.
If this be the meaning of modernity,
then, let us go back to ancient stupidity;
of a child born in a manger,
of a man crucified between thieves.
And stupidities of stupidities;
He overcame death and rose again!
